The work is individual. So are the results.
No two people arrive with the same body, history or ambition. Progress may mean returning to something you love, moving with less restriction, developing performance, rebuilding confidence—or finally understanding a pattern that has kept recurring.
PERFORMANCE & WELLBEING
A key part of Ironman training.
I started Reformer Pilates to add another layer of strength training to my workouts, but it’s given me much more than that. I’ve noticed real improvements in my strength, coordination and balance, and it has been a key part of my Ironman training as well.
Sarah is a fantastic instructor—knowledgeable, encouraging and able to challenge you at the right level. I’d highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall wellbeing.

PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
Looking beyond
the obvious.
As a therapist, I spend my working life helping people understand themselves, so I recognise the value of someone who looks beyond the obvious. Sarah does exactly that. What sets Sarah apart isn’t just her knowledge of movement, but how she applies it. She has a rare ability to help people understand the connection between their body, nervous system and emotional wellbeing. Rather than simply treating symptoms, she helps people unravel long-standing movement patterns, reconnect with their bodies and create lasting, meaningful change. Her work is thoughtful, compassionate and highly effective. I would recommend her without hesitation.

PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
Looking beyond
the exercises.
As a physical therapist who has spent many years working in movement, rehabilitation and manual therapy, I have a real appreciation for practitioners who look beyond exercises and truly understand how the body functions. What stands out about Sarah is her exceptional movement analysis and reasoning. She has an ability to identify the underlying cause of a problem rather than simply treating the symptoms.
Her knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics is complemented by excellent intuition and observation. She listens carefully, adapts her approach to the individual, and has a natural ability to solve complex movement issues in a calm and thoughtful way.
Every session is purposeful, with exercises carefully selected and progressed to meet the person’s needs. What I particularly value is that her Pilates is never a one-size-fits-all approach. It is intelligent, evidence-informed and genuinely client-centred. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for truly high-quality Pilates instruction.

PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
Seeing what others miss.
Sarah is far more than a Pilates instructor. She has an exceptional ability to work with people who have complex injuries and long-term health conditions, combining outstanding knowledge with a truly individual approach. She takes the time to understand the person in front of her and delivers Pilates tailored to their specific needs, helping people build confidence, move better and regain control of their health.
She also works collaboratively with healthcare professionals where appropriate, ensuring her clients receive the very best standard of care. I have complete confidence referring patients to Sarah, knowing they will receive safe, thoughtful and highly effective care.

MOVEMENT & WELLBEING
A real tonic for
mind and body.
Sarah has been a life-saver for us. When we first met Sarah, we both had a number of health issues, and she got us moving again. She has a real understanding of how the body works, and we’ve always felt completely safe in her very capable hands. She is also a lovely person, and we both look forward to our weekly sessions, which are a real tonic for both mind and body. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Thank you for being my Supervising Teacher. I have learnt so much from you (and your lovely students!) and am so grateful you took me on. Your positivity, encouragement and guidance have had a huge impact on me. At times I have literally felt you silently cheering me on.

PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
Far more than a Pilates instructor.
As a yoga teacher, I've had the privilege of working alongside Sarah for many years, and I've never met anyone with such an exceptional depth of knowledge and understanding of the human body. While many people know her as a Pilates instructor, that title barely scratches the surface of what she offers. Sarah combines Pilates with a profound understanding of movement, mobility and biomechanics, tailoring every session to the individual in front of her. Her ability to analyse movement, identify what's really going on in the body and explain it in a way that simply makes sense is something I deeply admire.
Working with Sarah has complemented my own yoga practice in so many ways. She's helped me develop a much greater awareness of how my body moves, identify movement patterns that were no longer serving me, and build strength and stability that have enhanced both my practice and my teaching. As someone who works with bodies every day, I know how rare it is to find someone with Sarah's level of expertise, curiosity and care. I always come away having learnt something new, not only through her clear, thoughtful teaching but also by simply observing the way she works. She has a wonderful ability to make complex concepts accessible and brings warmth, encouragement and a sense of fun to every session. I can't recommend her highly enough.

EQUESTRIAN PERFORMANCE
When your horse feels the difference.
Sarah was recommended to me by Ian at Smartway2Fitness. I had some old injuries that I was managing, and I’m always looking for ways to become a better rider. Sarah has helped me achieve both. I feel stronger, with better body awareness and control on a horse.
I strongly believe that the better I am in my posture and aids whilst riding, the better I allow my horse to be. Reformer Pilates is the most relevant exercise I have found to help achieve this.
Sarah’s knowledge of the biomechanics of how my body works on a horse has meant we can make real differences in how I train and ride—and my horses can feel the difference.

PILATES & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Always learning. Always evolving.
Sarah has been my friend for over a decade. During that time we’ve attended many Pilates workshops together as teachers and even enjoyed a Pilates holiday together. We’ve always been drawn to similar approaches to movement and share a genuine curiosity for learning and developing our practice.
As a Pilates instructor myself, I never miss one of Sarah’s online classes each week. I know she’ll always deliver a thoughtful, balanced, functional and appropriately challenging class. Sarah blends classical Pilates with contemporary movement principles, drawing on fascia, balance, mobility and functional strength to create sessions that are both engaging and highly effective.
I would thoroughly recommend Sarah as both a Pilates teacher and movement specialist.

BACK PAIN & MOVEMENT
Relief after years of pain.
I have suffered over the years with lower back pain, a bulging disc and severe sciatica. Sarah’s careful, knowledgeable and gentle exercises have brought me enormous relief. She has a great understanding of how the body all works together. All carried out with good humour and amusement! I can’t recommend her more highly.

EQUESTRIAN PERFORMANCE
A better balance for horse and rider.
“I’m really enjoying my Pilates sessions with Sarah. It’s been incredibly useful learning how my body works and compensates while I’m in the saddle. As a rider, it’s really important that I’m as balanced and even as I can be, so that I don’t influence the horse’s way of going.
Sarah has really helped me identify my weaker areas, and we’ve been working on strengthening them while releasing the tighter areas. It’s making a huge difference. I come away from every session feeling so much better in myself, and Sarah is so easy to get along with that she makes even the difficult sessions great fun.”

RECOVERY & RESILIENCE
Strong, healthy
and moving well.
I’ve been attending Sarah’s Pilates studio for several years now. Every client has a programme tailored to their individual needs, which benefited me enormously when Sarah supported me through a fractured kneecap and two hip replacements.
As a medic, I know how important it is to keep strong, healthy and moving well. I’m sure that Sarah’s knowledge, support and encouragement played a significant part in my recovery and continue to help me enjoy the sports and activities I love with less risk of injury.
I look forward to working with her for many years to come.

SPORT & PERFORMANCE
Pain free from
start to finish.
Sarah was recommended to me by my physiotherapist. As an endurance runner, pain is often considered part of the process, but if you're in pain on the start line, there's something wrong. I'd been in pain almost constantly for more than 12 months.
Sarah focused on the underlying causes of the issues I was experiencing. Working systematically through muscles, tendons and movement patterns, she helped me identify areas of weakness I didn't know I had and provided solutions through Pilates that not only eradicated the pain but also strengthened my body considerably.
My latest race was pain free from start to finish. Pilates has become an essential part of my training, and I believe it will help me continue pushing my body to the limit for many years to come.

FIBROMYALGIA & MOVEMENT
Making life more manageable.
Throughout my journey with fibromyalgia, the one thing I have found I cannot manage without is Pilates. I have also learnt that you need the right teacher—someone who understands your needs, often simply by observing your movement. Sarah knows my strengths and weaknesses and tailors every one-to-one session to provide the optimum relief whilst also strengthening the areas that need it most.
My one-to-one sessions with Sarah are invaluable in making life with fibromyalgia more manageable. I also look forward to my weekly group class, where Sarah is always aware of every individual and their specific needs.

RECOVERY & RESILIENCE
Back to doing what I love.
Sarah has helped me address longstanding, chronic problems. A few months ago, I struggled to walk even short distances. I am now fitter and stronger than I have been for years, able to walk for 3–4 hours a day and cycle 120 miles a week.
She brings highly specialised clinical knowledge and a keen intelligence to her practice and can spot and address issues that other practitioners overlook. She is also an incredibly empathetic and kind person with a great sense of humour. Thank you!

I have Parkinson's, but I really look forward to my Pilates sessions with Sarah. They help improve my strength, balance and cognitive skills, and I always leave feeling refreshed. Sarah is an excellent teacher. Her kindness, patience and great sense of humour help me move with more confidence, and we always have lots of laughs together. I really value that every session is tailored to my individual needs, which makes me feel safe, supported and able to keep progressing.

GOLF & PERFORMANCE
More distance.
Less effort.
I have been playing golf for many years and, as a senior golfer, I had accepted that reduced strength and flexibility were simply part of the ageing process and would inevitably affect my game.
Since starting Pilates with Sarah, the difference it has made to my golf is remarkable. She has helped me improve my balance, flexibility, core strength and posture, all of which have had a significant impact on my golf swing. I’m generating more swing speed, achieving greater distance with less effort, and finishing a round with far less stiffness and fatigue.
Sarah adopts a very personalised approach and offers encouragement in every session. The exercises are carefully adapted to my ability whilst still challenging me to improve. I’ve not only noticed improvements in my golf, but also in my everyday mobility.
I would highly recommend Sarah to any senior golfer looking to move better, play better and continue enjoying the game for years to come.

GROUP PILATES & WELLBEING
Strength and confidence
through change.
I began doing Pilates many years ago and it’s given me significant relief from chronic back pain, and has had a very positive effect on my overall health and wellbeing. More recently, Sarah’s classes have helped me to maintain my strength and confidence during my ongoing cancer and subsequent treatments.
Sarah explains each movement and the benefits, and although it’s a group class, she is brilliant at adapting exercises to suit different people, conditions and abilities, so I always feel safe and supported. I feel more flexible and my posture and stability have improved too.
Sarah is an amazing Pilates teacher, she has extensive knowledge and experience, and I always enjoy my classes with her. I always leave feeling relaxed, happy and better than when I arrived. I cannot recommend Sarah enough.

Stronger through
change.
Sarah has been an incredible source of support throughout my menopause journey during our 1:1 Pilates sessions, especially while I was struggling with severe muscle pain. She truly understands the challenges this stage of life can bring and has provided knowledgeable, compassionate guidance that helped me keep moving, even on the toughest days.
Thanks to her expertise and encouragement, I’ve come through the other side feeling stronger, more confident and so grateful for her support. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

REFORMER & LONG-TERM HEALTH
Stronger, more mobile,
investing in long-term health.
I’ve found my Reformer sessions with Sarah incredibly beneficial. They’ve significantly improved my core strength and mobility while helping to reduce the occasional lower back pain I experience. Sarah is exceptionally knowledgeable, with a deep understanding of how the body works, and her professional, thoughtful approach means every session is tailored, effective and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to move better, feel stronger and invest in their long-term health.

PARKINSON’S & CONFIDENCE
Active, confident
and moving well.
Since June’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, Sarah’s Pilates classes have played an important part in helping her stay active, confident and moving well. Sarah has a real understanding of Parkinson’s and adapts every session to how June is on the day, creating an environment where she feels safe, supported and confident to move. Her knowledge, patience and encouragement have made a huge difference to June’s wellbeing, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

MOVING WELL FOR LIFE
Rejuvenated
through movement.
I came to the gentle activity of Pilates, late in life and with some reluctance. My tardiness was a huge mistake. Since I started my weekly visits to the highly skilled, professional instructor, Sarah, my aching, age induced, system has been much rejuvenated. Sarah’s clear explanation behind the need for each exercise, combined with her caring and jolly attitude, make each visit a pleasure.

MOVEMENT FOR LIFE
Keeping me moving
through life’s ups and downs.
Pilates has been part of my life off and on for many years following a recommendation to take it up after back surgery in my 30s. Now that I’m in my 60s, Sarah’s classes keep me moving and able to do the things I love. Her knowledge is vast, her group classes are great fun and the 1:1’s I have in her studio help to fix all the little niggles and straighten me out after life’s ups and downs.

HEALTHY AGEING & MOVEMENT
Insurance for
the future.
Pilates has improved my posture, core strength, flexibility and mobility. I see it as insurance for the future so that, as I get older, I’ll be less likely to fall and seriously injure myself and will be able to physically function well. Sarah is an amazing teacher, she is incredibly knowledgeable but communicates in simple, relatable language. Sarah is very observant and tailors the exercises to your body on that day by providing adjustments to account for injuries and different levels of challenge so that everyone in the class can work at the level that is right for them. Sarah is an incredibly caring and lovely person who makes her classes interesting, inclusive and fun for everyone.

GROUP & PRIVATE PILATES
The best teacher
I’ve had.
I took up Pilates about 20 years ago. I don’t like the gym and as for big muscles and cardio exercises, well, they leave me breathless! Pilates has kept me flexible, taught me about how my body moves, improved my breathing and desperately tries to keep ageing at bay!
I started going to Sarah during lockdown via Zoom and was pleased to carry on in person since. She is the best teacher that I’ve had—notices when I’m cockeyed, which I often am, has helped when I needed rehab from various breaks, strains etc., and I also love her classes as the atmosphere is so helpful and positive. We laugh with each other, not at each other.
I also do a private class and after a cervical spine problem Sarah left me pain free for the first time in a couple of months.

CYCLING & RESILIENCE
Fewer niggles.
More confidence.
I’ve always kept myself reasonably fit, latterly through road cycling. Despite my best endeavours, in common with many, I seem to have niggly aches and pains from time to time, often written off as everyday life. Since taking up Pilates under Sarah’s tuition, I’ve noticed a significant improvement and these niggles are now minimal, less frequent, and I feel I now know how to manage minor flare-ups quickly to get back to normal.
Sarah’s classes are effective and fun. But don’t let her demeanour deceive you—she is clearly incredibly knowledgeable and takes time and care to understand each participant’s needs, and it’s a joy to attend her classes.

MEN’S HEALTH & MOVEMENT
I wish I’d started
years earlier.
Like many men, Pilates wasn’t something I’d ever considered. Looking back, I wish I’d started years earlier. It’s helped me stay stronger, move more freely and feel much less stiff, despite spending long hours at a desk, travelling for work and trying to stay active.
Sarah has an exceptional eye for detail and quickly spots movement habits that I would never notice myself. Every session is tailored to what I need on the day, and she has an uncanny ability to find the underlying cause of a problem rather than simply treating the symptoms.
I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Pilates has become an important part of maintaining my health, mobility and resilience. I’d recommend Sarah to any man who wants to move well, stay active and keep doing the things he enjoys for years to come.

TRIATHLON & PERFORMANCE
Move efficiently.
Recover better.
Triathlon places huge demands on the body, and Pilates has become an essential part of my training. It helps me move more efficiently, recover better and stay on top of the small issues before they become injuries. Sarah understands how an endurance athlete’s body works and tailors every session accordingly.

KEEPING A PHYSICAL WORKING LIFE POSSIBLE
I don’t think I would be physically able to continue doing the work I do without Sarah
I’ve been seeing Sarah for Pilates for over five years now, having a one-to-one session with her every week, and I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough.
My job is extremely physical — I’m regularly lifting heavy equipment, working overhead on ladders and getting myself into all sorts of awkward positions. Over the years my body has definitely paid the price! I’ve had 3 slipped discs, terrible nerve damage and pain running through my shoulders and arms and into my fingers, as well as damaging my back, knees and foot.
Sarah has helped me through every one of these problems. Her knowledge of the body and her ability to understand exactly what is causing an issue, and then adapt our sessions to help me recover and strengthen the right areas, is incredible. There have been times when I’ve genuinely wondered how I was going to carry on doing such a physical job, but Sarah has always managed to get me moving properly again.
I can honestly say that I don’t think I would be physically able to continue doing the work I do without the help she has given me over the years. What I particularly appreciate is that our sessions aren’t just about Pilates for the sake of Pilates. Sarah understands my body, the demands of my job and where my weaknesses are, and works with me to keep me strong, mobile and mostly pain-free.
After more than five years of seeing her every week, that probably says more than anything else could. Sarah is absolutely brilliant at what she does, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

ADAPTING THROUGH ILLNESS & RECOVERY
Sarah’s expertise, patience and personal tuition are invaluable to me
I started Pilates with Sarah pre covid. She has been able to work with me helping correct poor posture related to work positioning and strengthen areas I never realised were weak as well as titrate my Pilates sessions through periods of ill health and post surgery so they continued to benefit and strengthen my body . Sarah’s expertise, patience and personal tuition is invaluable to me and we manage to laugh along the way!

REHABILITATION AND STRENGTH
Sometimes I could pinch myself at how strong my body is now.
I reached out to Sarah after declining spinal surgery and nerve block injections, choosing instead to work on rehab and strength building. It was the right decision.
Sarah selected the right class for me and she has never treated my rehab as a fixed programme. If I message her before a class to say I'm having a niggle, she adapts the exercises for me to make them achievable. More than once she's changed her entire lesson plan for the group when several of us needed a different approach that day.
She's supported me with specific exercises outside of class too and always responds to my messages.
What sets Sarah apart is that her approach is genuinely client centred, not a one-size-fits-all mat class and she adds in extras that support nervous system regulation. The results speak for themselves. I can carry a washing basket, get up off the floor without crawling up the furniture and walk-up hills again and pain levels have tumbled. Sometimes I could pinch myself at how strong my body is now and how supportive regular Pilates workouts are to keeping me moving, mobile and strong. It does take dedication and effort on my part but Pilates for me is non-negotiable and has become a way of life.
